SilentShield scores every submission. The security policy of a key decides how strict that score is and what happens to a visitor who is judged suspicious. This post shows where you set it. The film below shows it on the real dashboard with sample data, silent and with short captions. The text under it says the same in words, so you can follow along without playing the film.
The film in short
The film opens the “Security Policy” tab of a key, points at the card “How strictly we check”, switches “Strictness” from “Balanced” to “Strict”, scrolls to “What should happen?”, sets “Suspicious visitors” from “Ask the visitor” to “Reject” and presses “Save Policy”. It does not send any test submission. It has no sound and does not start by itself.
Step 1: choose the strictness
In the card “How strictly we check” you pick “Relaxed”, “Balanced” or “Strict”. The page shows a bar with the score range that counts as suspicious and the range that is let through, and a badge with the resulting bot score. In the film the badge changes from 0.30 to 0.50: a visitor now has to score higher to be let through. Under “Fine adjustment” you can set the value yourself.
Step 2: decide what happens per judgement
The card “What should happen?” has one row per judgement: “Suspicious visitors”, “Judged to be a bot” and “No telemetry at all”. Each row offers “Ask the visitor”, “Reject” and “Let through”. The page notes that every submission is scored either way; these choices only control what is enforced. Be careful with “Let through”: the page warns that it means no protection for those cases.
Step 3: save
Press “Save Policy”. The dashboard confirms with “Security policy saved successfully”. Until you save, nothing is applied.
What the film does not show
The film does not send a submission through the new policy and makes no statement about how many visitors a setting will stop on your site. The documentation page for the security policy lists all options, including Tor handling, rate limits and the lists. Rules for single forms are shown in set up form rules.
